3 Things You Should Start Doing To Be More Successful
Charlie “Tremendous” Jones once said – “You will be the same person in 5 years as you are today except for the people you meet and the books you read.”
Here at MR KOACHMAN our goal is to help you look, feel and be the best you can be every day of your life.
We all set goals for ourselves but many times we fail at achieving these goals, either because we do not follow through on our plans or it could be as a result of some of our lifestyle traits which holds us back and hinders our chance of success.
Today, I want to provide you with 3 great tips that can help you achieve more in your personal life and business.
Here are the 3 Things You Should Start Doing To Be More Successful.
1. GET YOUR MIND IN SHAPE – READ, READ AND READ SOME MORE
As much as everyone loves getting his/her body in shape, it’s also important to get the mind in shape. The best way to get the mind in shape is to always read. The more that you read, the more things you will know and the more you learn, the more places you’ll go. Set the goal today to read at least 1 book every month, that is 12 books in a year for a start. If you can do more that’s fine.
2. BUILD POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS – CHOOSE THE PEOPLE YOU NETWORK AND RELATE WITH
People Around You Affect Your Personal Success.
The Motivational speaker Jim Rohn said that “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with”. Who you are with can elevate you and bring you down at the same time and influences the person you eventually become. What kind of person do you want to be, who are the top 5 people you spend most time with in your life at the moment, do they match what you want to be in the future?
Remember, if you are involved in any relationship, partnership or friendship which is not elevating you or bringing out the best in you, you are not really helping yourself and therefore can’t grow beyond where you are. So connect more with positive people, successful people, people who you look up to in business and in life and learn from them.
3. FIND YOUR TRUE CALLING – DO MORE OF WHAT YOU LOVE
Some people are in careers they do not love. For example, Graphic Artists being “pushed” into a Banking job just to make ends meet, astute Architects involved in Marketing positions in top firms, earning well but not happy with their job. Natural born entrepreneurs stuck at home with no job but still browsing job websites on a daily basis, submitting CV and applications just to get a job.
Make resolutions this year to find your true calling – your talent and start doing what you love. You have the rest of your life to work, so rather than do something you don’t like then take charge and do the things you love. The things you are passionate about are not random, they are your calling. Don’t make yourself work in a job you dislike, because that will be to waste your life away. Do what you love…start gradually this new year.

Nice piece. Reading is not part of our culture because of the challenges facing us as a people but we must strive to make our future brighter by opening our minds through reading.
