Post-Event Press Release – Africa Fashion Week Nigeria

Lagos remains speechless with delight following the grand and spectacular Fashion show – The Africa Fashion Week Nigeria 2015 which took place on 23rd and 24th of May 2015 @ Oceanview Marquee and the Convention Centre of Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island Lagos, Nigeria. The excitement in the air was highly evident as crowds arrived to witness this wonderful event which was indeed the highlight of an international fashion show in the whole of Africa.

It was a 2-day event which witnessed the presence of some of Nigeria’s fashion icons Like Oprah Benson, Mo Abudu, Mrs. Folawiyo and many others. The event also had on its red carpet celebrities like Emmanuel Ikubese, Mercy Ajisafe (Omo London), Uti Nwachukwu, Denrele, Ik Ogbonna, Kunle Afolayan & my humble self Mr. Kobi, to mention but a few. As a Brand Ambassador for the African Fashion Week Nigeria 2015, I was honored to be at the event which was an evening of fun. The Africa Fashion Week Nigeria show also had in attendance foreign designers showcase their beautiful and eclectic designs to the delight of the audience.

Several awards were given out at the gala event. Singer Yemi Alade won the “Most Stylish Female Celebrity” award, Kunbi Oyelese of April by Kunbi went home with “Fashion entrepreneur of the year“. Antonia Soares of Complete Fashion won “Emerging Fashion Journalist of the year“, McStell won “Male Designer of the year“, Damilola Oke (Msmodish) won “Stylist of the year“. One lucky winner won a return ticket to London for the Africa Fashion Week London (AFWL) courtesy of TravelFix.co, a professional tour packaging, and travel logistic company.
