By  |

Looking back, we can see a clear difference between olden-day style and modern style. The mode of dressing in the ’60’s, ’70’s’ and ’80’s’ have been reinvented and modernized into a different style of dressing.

One feature that describes the olden-day style is “haphazard fashion” due to the rise of highly bright colors of clothes and accessories alike. It also consisted of baggy clothing ensembles which we can still see bits of them in our present world.

However, you’d agree with me that there are a few olden-day styles that if reincarnated can make a fashion statement in our present-day world. So today we look at those five olden-day styles that can make a comeback into our modern style.

Let’s dive right in!!

#3. Leisure Suits

Leisure suits should definitely make a comeback in modern-day Fashion. For all we know, these suits existed back in the ’80s when men wore suits with bell bottoms and pastel colors. Unfortunately, the suits faded out due to the high demand for formal attire for the workplace. It was then replaced with power suits and shoulder pad stuffed suits and all.

Now that most offices do not require strict formal attire for business hours, then this suit will go a long way in serving business casual and informal dressing goals.

#4. Suspenders with casual wear

Oh yes, suspenders on casual pants or shorts were a thing at that time.

And yes, we can still reinvent them into our modern-day fashion. I believe they would be great for costume-themed events, streetwear, and runway fits, but then they can still be chipped into our present-day fashion even in the smallest bits.

You can see the pictures above. Learn more about the rules for wearing suspenders.

#5. Detachable Collars

The idea of detachable collars become popular around the 1850 era. It was done to present a clear image of formality and alacrity in the men’s fashion. And yes, we can see that trend dripping into modern-day fashion bit by bit.
