AFRICA FASHION WEEK NIGERIA

The Africa Fashion Week Nigeria, is a 1st class packaged, high octane and very glamorous event. A celebration of stupendous fashion and style, of good form and refinement. And it includes an awards show to the bargain.

•Its a week event, which started with Street Catwalk in the Mall;ast weekend at The Palms mall in Victoria Island, followed by The Conference at the Eko hotel on July 1, 2016. The 2nd day will have back to back Catwalk Shows from upcoming to established designers.
•The last day will end with a Gala Night our revelry that has as guests, the super stylish, gorgeously fashionable, crème De la crème of the society, top professionals and colourful entrepreneurs. Stars of the world of movies, music, television and comedy.

•WHAT

AFWN 2O16 Gala. An evening parading elan, oomph, glitz and glamour in large doses. With some of Nigeria’s most stylish celebrities and professionals on parade. It’s a sumptuous gala of about 3 hours, with dinner, music, drama, fashion show and awards as its main elements.

•WHY

With guests dressed in their most fabulous garbs. The event recognises some of those icons amongst us, rewarding them with plaques of honour. An evening of great fun and drama, also providing the prospects of networking and affording the future design stars of the nearest future a platform to showcase their exciting new creations in front of the most appreciative and chicest of audience and fans.

•WHO

The close to a thousand guests are drawn from every walks of life. With those who counts on the style stakes, the fashionistas, the style mavens, the goddesses of great forms and the style kings taking the front rows.

AFRICA FASHION WEEK NIGERIA (AFWN) created by Ronke Ademiluyi, Our distinct journey as a proudly Nigerian, Proudly African and international brand began about 6 years ago in London.

What we started then as a small brand to satisfy a niche, has now gone on to become an award winning and very well recognized brand which is the biggest platform of its kind in Europe showcasing African designers and African inspired fashion. The popularity and success of the Africa Fashion Week London brand was what triggered us to bring the brand home to Nigeria.

Africa Fashion Week Nigeria, now in its 3rd has been a memorable and very fulfilling journey. In just a few days, we will not only be celebrating our 3rd year anniversary but it will be yet another Africa Fashion Week from 1st July to 3rd July 2016 with a conference, fashion exhibition and showcase of upcoming and established designers.

Our annual event aims to celebrate the work of African and African inspired designers in the UK and worldwide.
