8 Life Lessons You Can Learn From The Movie, Avengers: Infinity War
Ah! Avengers: Infinity War, one of the world’s favorite superhero team. I’m sure the media hasn’t stopped talking about the movie of a lifetime. Why would they? When the movie is smashing box office records left and right.
You probably have already seen the trailer or read the positive reviews online or from friends. You ask yourself, “What’s all the hype about?”
You’ll never know if you don’t watch it!
Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War which was released in late April 2018 has become the fastest movie to cross the $1 billion mark at the global box office, overtaking the prior record-holder, Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The film reached this milestone in just 11 days.
As at the time of writing [May 6th, 2018], it is the second highest-grossing film of 2018 and today [22nd June 2018] it is the 4th highest-grossing film of all time. In its opening weekend, it grossed $641 million worldwide and $258 million in the United States and Canada, setting the records for the highest grossing openings for both.
The question on everyone’s lips right now is Can ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Beat ‘Avatar and Titanic’s Box Office Record?
Well, I’m not a well-rounded movie expert, I only consider myself a budding cinephile but after seeing the Avengers: Infinity War movie, I strongly believe it’s the only movie capable of breaking Avatar’s box office record – for now.
Take a look at the trailer –
This brings me to the topic of the day – Lessons to Learn From The Movie, Avengers: Infinity War.
First, let’s focus on The Avengers. They are an awesome group of badasses, right?
“The Avengers”, a group of superheroes who, regardless of their differences, worked together towards a common purpose… saving the world, of course! That’s the whole point of Avengers.
This season of Marvel heroes saw Captain America, Star-Lord, Black Panther, and other Marvel heroes finally face off against the Mad Titan himself, Thanos whose aim was to destroy the universe.
In addition to just loving these superheroes for their entertainment value, I strongly believe they can teach us some actual life lessons.

Let’s dig into the life lessons from Avengers: Infinity War and see how the movie can impact your life positively.
8 Life Lessons to Learn From The Movie, Avengers: Infinity War
1. TEAMWORK IS VERY IMPORTANT
The Avengers: Infinity War shows how one team is better than one person. The superheroes all came together with one purpose in mind- to save the universe. They worked together, putting their respective differences and egos aside to accomplish a common goal.
We can also see the teamwork put together by the cast and crews of the movie to make it a huge success.
As an individual, don’t be a lone wolf, set aside your ego and strive to become a better team player.
As a business owner, you need passionate people around you to succeed. You must know that if you want to run fast, run alone but if you want to go far, go together.
KOBI KOACHMAN is where it is today because of the smart, intelligent and high-performance team around me. And as we continue to grow, we keep bringing onboard more passionate, smarter and stronger team.
2. GREAT LEADERS AREN’T SELFISH. GREAT LEADERS ARE SELFLESS
Not everyone can be a leader. Contrary to what some people believe – there are no natural born leaders.
And I totally agree with Vince Lombardi, who said, “Leaders are made, they are not born. They are made by hard effort, which is the price which all of us must pay to achieve any goal that is worthwhile.”
You have to be truly prepared for a leadership role.
With great power comes great responsibility. Your desire, as well as your heart, should be in the right place to become a great leader.
Thanos desired to become a god who wanted to impose his ideas and desires on those below him. He is not a good leader because he was selfish.
Great leaders aren’t selfish, they’re selfless!
To lead is to serve, you need the heart of a servant, the desire to make other lives better – including putting aside your hopes and dreams, to be a good leader.

3. LETTING SOMEONE HELP YOU CAN BE A GOOD THING
Know when to ask for help!
Yeah, I know…No one wants to be a burden. No one wants to feel helpless. But here’s the truth: Sometimes we all need a helping hand, and sometimes you have to swallow your pride, hide your ego and call for help.
The Hulk saw the chaos brought on by Thanos, he knew he had to do something. He picked up the phone and called the other Avengers.
Sometimes you need help and you should ask for it. Put aside your pride and ask someone who can, to help you.
While this was a tough decision to make, The Hulk decided to call for backup instead of drowning in his pride. This got the team back together.
The lesson here is: Sometimes You Can’t Make It on Your Own. So…
Listen to me now
I need to let you know
You don’t have to go it alone
Ok …I’m actually singing along to U2’s lyrics for the Song: Sometimes You Can’t Make It on Your Own.
And in case you don’t know the band U2, don’t worry, just move on to the next lesson.

4. NO ONE IS IRRELEVANT
No one is irrelevant. Everyone has a part to play in your life or on your team, perhaps not immediately but definitely somehow or someday.
Let’s talk about the character Groot – the extraterrestrial, sentient tree-like creature, whose language is almost impossible to understand due to the stiffness of their larynges, causing their speech to sound like they are repeating the phrase “I am Groot”.
Other beings try to be friendly but become angry with Groot for not being able to speak.
Well, Groot showed his usefulness in The Avengers: Infinity War.
Groot was needed to help Thor and he did, he helped him complete his hammer and he was able to save him. He was there when he was needed.
You may think that someone is not useful or relevant because they can’t be of any help to you at that point in time.
This movie made me understand that you shouldn’t think anyone is useless, we all have our roles to play and when the time comes, our skills will be utilized.
5. SUCCESS COMES WITH A SACRIFICE
Success isn’t without cost. It always comes with a sacrifice. The price of success is paid in the currency of hard work.
Again, that was Vince Lombardi’s quote.
Makes sense?
Of course, it does!
Thanos had to sacrifice the one thing he loved, his daughter Gamora. Dr. Strange sacrificed the Time Stone to save his friend, Tony Stark (Iron Man) and vision also sacrificed himself to save the universe.
Everyone makes a sacrifice, you have to make a sacrifice sometimes in order to get another thing. What sacrifices have you made to succeed? And was it worth it?
Don’t be afraid to give up the ‘good’ to go for the ‘great’! Oh, I believe it was John D. Rockefeller who said that first.
6. NO MAN IS AN ISLAND: YOU CAN’T DO IT ALONE!
Let’s face it you can get started by yourself but in order to grow, you can’t do it alone!
A Boss cannot run a company by himself, he needs executives and employees to run the company successfully.
Dr. Strange knew he couldn’t fight Thanos on his own so he called Iron Man and the other Avengers to help him. And when the Avengers realized that they needed all the help they could get, they asked the King of Wakanda, Black Panther to help them defeat Thanos.
7. ANGER IS DESTRUCTIVE
Don’t let your emotions get the best of you. Your emotions – especially anger, can be destructive.
Star-Lord allowed his anger to ruin the work done by the other superheroes. He acted impulsively and they all paid for it. They almost defeated Thanos, but he didn’t think before acting and it cost him and the others.
We must learn to control our emotions, especially in very delicate situations. Acting on your emotions will cost you, so always think before you act.
8. PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE | Whatever is worth doing at all is worth doing well.
If a thing is worth doing, it’s worth doing well. Good things come to those who are patient.
This quality was demonstrated by the cast and crew. Imagine the time it took to put together this great movie.
Marvel invested a great deal of time and money to make this movie a success. The success of The Avengers: Infinity War was built on more than ten years worth of effort and patience.
Remember, ‘Anything worth doing, is worth doing well’. You can’t achieve success without being patient. Take time to work on yourself – including improving your skill set, your style, personal brand, your business and everything else required to make you an overnight success – in years to come.
